If you want to meet some friendly hams or experience some different operating modes, why don't you stop by one of the many Field Day events taking place in Upstate NY. You will see various antenna and radio setups along with operators trying to share their knowledge and score some points making contacts through out the weekend.

Its a lot of fun - so we hope to see you out there on field day!

What is Field Day?

Syracuse:
Radio Amateurs of Greater Syracuse (RAGS) Field Day is Saturday 6/26 - Sunday 6/27.  Set-up will start at 8A Saturday and station operations will be from 2P Saturday through 2P Sunday.

The location will be at the Camillus Ski Hill, 403 Blackmore Rd., Camillus, NY 13031 next to East Hill School.

Stop by to operate or visit and see the club's setup.  If you come, we encourage you to bring a bag of empty returnable bottles to support the Camillus Ski Association who kindly allow us to use their facility.  The Camillus Ski Association has taught many youth of the area to ski and snow tube over several decades and is a very worthy non-profit organization.

Liverpool Amateur Radio Club (LARC) 2021 Field Day operation.
We will be setting up at the Camp Woodland Boy Scout Camp,
off of RT. 49, just east of Constantia. Although the location is further from the
Syracuse area, there is an almost unlimited space for antennas and a very spacious
building to set up in. The camp is located at 491 Kibbie Lake Rd., right off of Rt. 49.
Current plans are to begin set up on Saturday morning, around 7:00 AM. This original
note in the Long Wire stated we would be doing set up starting on Friday, but rule
changes we were unaware of, moved start time on Friday to 8:00 pm, leaving us with only
an hour of daylight to work with. The event begins at 2:00 PM on Saturday and runs
through to Sunday at 2:00 PM. Everyone is invited to stop out, help with set up or tear
down and do some operating.
Much thanks need to go out to the Lounghouse Council of the Boy Scouts of America and
to their representative Matt Lacy, KD2TBS, for providing us with this opportunity.
